Cargo Securement Guide

Basic Items

Boxes & Cartons

  • Stack heaviest on bottom.
  • Keep weight balanced side-to-side.
  • Use straps if needed.

Furniture

  • Wrap in moving blankets.
  • Secure with straps or rope.
  • Position upright unless manufacturer specifies otherwise.

Appliances

  • Keep upright to avoid fluid leaks.
  • Strap to vehicle walls if possible.
  • Pad corners to prevent scratches.

Intermediate Items

Large Mirrors & Glass

  • Use A-frame or soft padding.
  • Secure with corner protectors and straps.
